Family

We are all expected to someday have a family, to have children as everyone else on this earth. So many people see it as their right to have as many children as they please. I do not mean to contradict the Bible, but I must say that at this point, we should not worry about multiplying and filling the earth. We've kind of accomplished that already, so if you take it into context, we should probably ignore that line now. We are overpopulating the earth as it stands, and there is not enough food or supplies for all of us. Each one of us says to ourselves, how could it possibly affect the earth if I had just one more kid? Yet, when all of us think that, and all of us have one more kid, it does affect the earth. Overpopulation is not solved, and over time it becomes a larger and larger problem.
I would think it best to have one child of your own, a right I could not deprive anyone. Having two children does not confront the problem, as if two people have two children, the population stays the same, so nothing is achieved. However, I also do not think it is a good idea to only have one child, as the child grows up without important morals. He/she will grow up thinking everything is theirs, not exposed to another person, not shown that sometimes someone else has to get their way. Most single children I have met have been kind of bratty and selfish as a result. I believe the best solution would be to adopt a child as well. This counteracts overpopulation fully, as it makes it as if you did not have a single child; you have one and adopt one (1+ -1=0<2 parents). If we were to all have such a family, overpopulation would end rapidly.
If you really want a large family, then go ahead and have two children, since as long as you adopt one it does help to end overpopulation (1+1+ -1=1<2 parents). As long as you keep the equation weighted heavier on the parents' side than the children, the problem is lessened. Even five children is not a problem, as long as you have three and adopt two (1+1+1+ -1+ -1=1<2 parents), so you can have as large a family as you wish, as long as you do not allow it to help cause overpopulation.
Just a thought...
